I am finding that Sierra Nevada Pale Ale works very nicely for me with the recent heat wave.
I haven't even missed my usual Dos Equis Lager yet.

(and no, Rider... I didn't make it to Costco to get mine. I picked up a 12 at the grocery store yesterday. I might get a case when I hit Costco next week)

I am not...and even if I was it wouldn't get me any beer. Can't sell it in grocery stores in PA. Yes, PA sucks.

So where do you get your beer? A state controlled "package" store?

We can only buy beer at a distributor (case or more, nothing less) or a bar (6 or 12 packs). Wine and booze has to come from the State store.

However, Wegmans (a high end grocery store) side stepped the law and now sells 6 and 12's in their grocery store. They claim to be a restuarant and have the restaurant section roped off...there for it's seperate from a grocery store.

They just started selling beer about a month ago. And believe me when I say it took them YEARS to get that through the legislature. There's A SHIT TON of opposition to selling beer in grocery stores in this state.

Grocery stores, gas stations, liquor stores. Pretty much anywhere that sells anything.

Is PA as strict on beer laws as oklahoma?

In OK, not sales after a certain time (much earlier than MO's 1:30 AM), no sales on monday. Has to be 3.2 % alcohol or lower in order to be refridgerated.

Not that bad. We have to stop selling at 2am. About 2 years ago they let bars and distributors be open on Sunday. Before that you couldn't find booze anywhere on a Sunday.

Usually between 8 and 10 bucks.

t-homo 06-24-2009 10:55 AM

I figured it was going to be expensive as shit since you have to buy em from bars. Here, its around 8 bucks. However, if you get em at a bar here is ridiculous.

I see SA in the grocery store for $6-$7/6pack. Down in FL and ABC Liquor SA was selling for $9/6 pack

marko138 06-24-2009 10:58 AM

Case goes for about 30 or 31 bucks.
