Last year I was drunk from Thursday night till the Sunday a week later. I'll have to cut it down to thursday-saturday night of the same week this year.
|
oh that's too bad.

I was in IFC (Interfraternity Council, the guys who are supposed to watch for hazing and whatnot) and they were a huge drinking organization at the same time. It was trdition that if someone held a higher office or was older than you and told you to "go" you had to chug your beer. I was standing on the roof, was tossed a beer that expired 2 years before, was shaken up, and told to chug. Quickest I ever drank a nasty beer in my life.
|
We did have one of those 3 man water balloon launchers and had a war with some guys on the roof at the fraternity across the street. Just for clarification, that isn't our house, but an apartment that the older guys can live in if they want to.
Here are a couple pics of the house. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...roth/house.jpg http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...h/xmasdecs.jpg |
Damn, your house is way nicer than the chapter here in fargo.
|
They said it cost $3 Million to build back in 89, the year I was born. Re-appriased in mid 2000s at $5.something million. Sad part is that there is 1/2 inch plywood behind most of the drywall since it has been broken so much. Got the stairs re-carpeted my first semester and you couldn't tell by the middle of the second semester.

Mine is getting a complete remodel next year. Fundraising has begun! |
Nice. What fraternity were you in?
Two of my pledge bros got tattoos of our crest, and I'm hoping to do the same within the next year or so. I went with him and it took the guy an hour to draw it onto the paper, then 5 hours of actual tattooing. http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u...24-08_2143.jpg |
Now, I'm just rummaging through my Photobucket account and computer for pictures from last year.
|
pfft...ugly house. Pan that photo over about 6 blocks and you'll see a damn gorgeous house:dthumb:
|
I've been sleeping so shitty this week. It's getting old.
|
Quote:
I thought it might have been sleep apnea... but when I came home on my mid tour for Indy... I slept like a baby. but same shit when I went back... :idk: now... I'm sleep'n perfect again... and FUCK I've missed that... wake'n up tired sucks ASS |

We had a couple guys get AGR tattooed as well, not the crest though. |
There is an AG Rho house here at MO state where I am now. Seem like pretty cool guys.
Fatburg, you were a pike, therefore your opinion doesn't matter. Too bad you never got to live in the incredible house. :P |

Me too. I've about given up on getting some semblence of a normal routine. It seems the harder I try to go to bed at a decent time, the longer I lay in bed trying to go to sleep. Stupid night shit.
|
I have no such problem. I seem to sleep days and nights on the weekend. :idk:

Kinda hilarious how many people they've been though, especially since its not like they are being passed around locally.

And now today, we are in a blizzard warning area. Freezing rain all night so glare ice on all the roads, with up to 14" of blowing snow. :panic: |

Damn it's a be-u-t-ful day outside! I need to work on getting the new tires on the bike. It's riding time! :D

Today is a little chilly. The weekend was amazing though.

We'll see... if we ever get spring... :panic: |
spring broke here for a minute friday and i took a 1/2 day to put some miles on.. then it rained for 2 days straight and today again was perfect but i had too much work to do..
|
Drinking coffee.
|
Working to keep my eyes open.
|
whohooo. i finished my 10pg research paper on the auto bailout! finally...
|
Getting ready to go out for coffee with a bunch of local bikers for one guys birthday. He made the comment to one girl that he was just one year closer to loss of bladder control where she was one year closer to legally drinking. Pretty sure I'm going to get him a pack of depends.
|
I'm assembling my new TV stand.
|
I'm schooling Mini-Me in scrabble! :rockwoot:
|
my TV stand is assembled. My cords are far more organized, and I'm watching CSI!
|
Beating Mini-Me in DDR! :rockwoot:
|
yay you!
i'm waiting for the damn wind to quit blowing. |

granted... i'm not so young myself anymore... |
Quote:
I have two teenagers who help keep me going. Mini-Me will be 16 this summer. :panic: Young Padawan is 14 and has peach fuzz on his upper lip. |

I wonder why? I'm finished playing DDR with her....she's cheating by tapping my mat to bump me to an advanced level while keeping hers lower right as I decide on the song! |
Smart one she is.
I still don't know what I did, but all the girls parents that ever met me always loved me... :idk: |
Quote:
She's tomboy like me so she has lots of guy friends. Then there's my son's friends. Between them, that's alot of teenage boys. I've only found one I didn't care for. Most of them are cool. They respect and like me. But I think they fear me too. There's something about a 15-16 year old kid who towers more than a foot above you snapping to attention and being very polite when you talk to them. Especially when they know you're pissed, and not necessarily at them. |
From a guys POV, the mother is generally more fearsome than the father. Don't ask me why. I was WAY more intimidated by my dad than my mom.
|
Quote:
It's still funny though. I'm like...half their size. Although even some men are intimidated by me. I don't get it. :idk: |
Quote:
|
Yeah cutty you guys got a hell of a storm... my dad had 4.5' of new snow behind the house... and that was at 8pm... so shit hadn't stopped by then!
it was 75* here yesterday... |

Not a new TV, Got my 50" plasma about a year ago, just finally got a correct stand for it with some organization. Quote:

Snow flurries here right now and 50mph winds. :panic:

It's beautiful today. Lower 60's and the sun keeps peaking out. Too bad I'm at work.
|
I have sent out more resume's in the last 3 weeks than I ever have I think. nothing.
I went to another dealership and put in an application yesterday. hopefully... |
Quote:
Good luck! I've put in several resumes the last week or so and haven't heard shit. :( Edit: Scratch that. Just got an email from the bank I applied at. Got turned down. :( |
Quote:
thanks yeah, think it would suck more having some interviews then hearing nothing back. sorry, wasn't trying to kick you or anything. I did have my unemployment call monday so that is out of the way. she told me that my last employer hadn't sent anything in yet so hopefully that means they aren't going to fight it and the money starts coming in. |
Quote:
Didn't think you were kicking me. :) I'm still waiting on my unemployment. I got all the paperwork in and even the handy dandy credit card they put it on. But they tell me it's so backed up (typical La) that it can take up to 8 weeks to get the first check....four weeks to get a notice in the mail confirming I'm approved. I applied a couple of weeks ago. Blah. On a more positive note, my ex employer kept her word. I received a check for two weeks pay as a severance check. I knew I was owed for my vacation pay of one week. Bonus for the second week. Every little bit helps. :) |
Quote:
they are doing it electronically, how the hell can it take any longer? that don't make any sense. I may have to start deciding if I'm going to pay the biggest bill I have soon. |
Quote:
I don't know why it's taking them longer. I have called a few times about it and they told me since there's been triple the amount of claims in the last few months it's taking longer. A friend's took 6 weeks. Of course, they're probably giving a generalized statement on how long it's taking. That's what I'm hoping for and it'll come in sooner than expected. Or I'm going to be SOL soon if something doesn't come through quickly. :( |

There was an average of 3.5 feet of snow in my driveway, hardpacked by the wind. -20 degrees, with -45 windchill Not my idea of fun... today would have been a great day to go play however. High of 0, but sunny and somewhat calm. All roads were open by 2:30pm and life was somewhat back to normal. One funny story. Some guy decided yesterday evening that he needed milk. All roads had been closed for hours. He takes off anyway, to a town about 30 miles away, and of course gets stranded. It takes 2 State plow trucks and a road grader to get to him, along with a couple state troopers for the rescue. In the end, he gets fined $1000 PLUS has to pay the wages and expense of all the equipment used to rescue him... and he never did get his milk! what a dumbass. |

Self ownage right there! :zowned: |
Here are a few pics of my driveway this morning. Took about an hour and a half with a 10 horse 30" cut snowblower to clear it.
Pic from the corner of my garage looking to driveway. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...3-11-09001.jpg Standing in front of Garage, looking toward street http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...3-11-09002.jpg Standing in street, looking at garage right after the city plow went through. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...3-11-09003.jpg After it's all cleaned out. http://i203.photobucket.com/albums/a...3-11-09006.jpg Lots of fucking snow. :panic: |
Damn that's alot of snow! :panic:
Where's this street you mentioned? I'm not seeing any pavement. |
Quote:
1. a Versatile bi-directional tractor with a snowblower and a blade 2. an old beat up chevy pickup with a plow on the front. THey had only made one pass with just the plow when I cleared my driveway. I actually do more street cleaning with my snowblower than they do. |
Now I don't feel quite so bad about the cold front that just moved through here. Yesterday it was in the mid 80's and today's high was 51! :wtf: Tomorrow promises to be even cooler.
|
new tires....
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm........... the fact that they are new, dif brand than previous, alil more performance orientated than touring, and i went to a 180/55 from the 190/50 that was on there (5.5inch rim) makes for a new way sweeter handling bike. me likes:rockwoot: however-the fact that it made such a dif lets me know i waited longer than i shouldve to put new rubber on-oops |
