Oh man, I know.
Absolutely rough, but still so damn good... even after seeing it a half dozen times. :dthumb:

(and yeah, I'm watching it too)

"I'm not going there to die, I'm going to find out if I'm really alive."

What a line.

I've said the same thing about iraq

So here's a thought: did shin really betray the red dragons? Or had vicious ordered him to assist spike in his journey to the final confrontation? Or in a third option, did vicious know what he would do and let him live? He doesn't miss much

I think Vicious simply didn't see him as a threat, which is probably closer to your third option. Vicious was clearly doing everything to draw Spike toward that confrontation and if letting Shin live and assist Spike fit into that plan, so much the better.

Gah.. I remember that name and I know I've seen it, but it was a long time ago.
I remember it was a giant mecha type series, but that's about it.

That's the one where any time spent in "hyper" space advances you by a fuck ton in real time. The heroine stays a teenager for the whole thing while watching all her friends grow old and die. Then there's the last episode where her and her copilot (who is now in her forties) sacrifice their timelines to jumpstart the bomb we made out of jupiter and end up 10,000 years in the future
