im stoked, jerry is coming down for the nss track day, thats the only real reason im planning on doing it, i think he is going to shit a brick when he sees how fast you reach on the front strecth

psychochild28 03-11-2010 01:49 AM

That's cool. yea he will shit a brick. You going to get him drunk like last time??

psychochild28 03-11-2010 01:51 AM

I'm so excited to be able to afford a brand new car and still get all my motorcycle gear. This week's kicked ass.

Other than Rico being sick....herniated disk in his neck isn't "supposed" to do anything for 3 weeks. Really hard to make a hyper dog lay down all the time.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 01:52 AM

him and our main bar tender are on a first name basis....

but in other news melinda was mugged a few weeks ago so that has sent him in to a tizzy, so its a god chance for him to come down and get away

psychochild28 03-11-2010 01:53 AM

Holy crap! Is she ok?? And is she coming with him? If not he'll be worrying about her a lot while he's here

dReWpY 03-11-2010 01:54 AM

adam said something about this. that sucks!
pudge got a hair cut, not a lions maim like last time, but a trim, so shedding is down, brock has a heart murmur, but the old vet said it was nothing to be worried about, pudge got a perfect clean bill of health, as always... damn dog is spoiled rotten, she has started to learn in the middle of the night she can weasil the pillow out from under me and she takes it over, i wake up with a stiff neck and no pillow, wtf

dReWpY 03-11-2010 01:55 AM

they arent together, not that means anything, but she has a broken pelvis in two spots and is hard up and cant move

psychochild28 03-11-2010 01:57 AM

OH..... wow that sucks! That's really scary.

Sorry to hear about him and her.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 01:59 AM

dude stalked her in a krogers parkng lot at 9am and ran up, grabbed her purse and took off running, it was stuck on her arm, he drug her about 25 yards and finally let go, when he did she fell, it was all on security cameras

and hotels suck, esp when your working on something that you have to talk about tomorrow and its to the ppl that gave you 120k.... fml in east tn and no bike an no time to play fml

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:00 AM

Sorry to hear about brock still scary when you're dog's sick. I thought I caused rico's issue playing ball with him yesterday. Turns out he's had issues for a while and she didn't tell me. But Yea Pudge is a sneaky little thing. You should just add another one of your many pillows to the bed so she can have one and you can have one.

Sorry if i'm hijacking maybe we should move it to the belly up thread...

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:02 AM

That's scary. That's my next big purchase is a gun and the CCW class it's just so damn expensive for everything. We have one gun here but there's more on the way

Yikes I'm sorry that does suck.

If it makes you feel better I just kinda frenched kissed rico. I was talking to him and he licked my mouth while it was opened.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:05 AM

moved posts:

i think there is a total of 4 guns now at the house, i pity anyone that dares step foot in this place, brock looks nice, acts nice, but he is one scary motherfucker when he is pissed, he has to be put away when strangers walk in, 60# of boxer with a sever under bite and a .45 are good security systems

Yea just have rico and he's a pansy and one gun. And have already had someone banging on the door at 3:30-4am.

But Steph just bought a treadmill so we'll both be in shape to run like hell if something happens lol

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:10 AM

ha, i miss the days of having time to run, .... damn im one lfbg at the moment

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:14 AM

You should try rollerblading again :lol

I'm just excited to be able to run when it's cold and or rainy. Plus if it's too hot I don't have to risk an asthma attack since my prescription expired and I don't have a doc here to get them refilled.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:18 AM

FUCK ROLLERBLADING!
WORST IDEA OF MY LIFE!!!

and i have made a few

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:22 AM

aww come on i thought it was one of you're better ideas. It gave me a great laugh

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:25 AM

fuck that shit, i wanted to die

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:28 AM

Yea you did need training wheels. You're facial expression kinda looked like the first time you got on the inner tube and you were hands and knees holding of for dear life.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:30 AM

the water is dark and scary....

mind you this is the same person that jumped into the TN river with zero viz and felt around on the bottom of the river on my hands and knees looking for mussels... that was a experiance i will never forget, no matter how hard i try

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:33 AM

yea you're a little strange when it comes to water. I can't wait to get back to FL and go diving. My gear is haunting me every time i go in the garage.

Ugh I want to go to bed but my tummy hates me. Think the scallops that I put in the spaghetti sauce were spoiled or something.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:36 AM

wide awake after the most extreme ride of my life in a car and stuck in a hotel working on glycogen concentration ratios that are so fucked up its a wonder why i didnt just burn the $600 it cost me and save the headache

god i want this car, its sickening, im jonesing for it

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:38 AM

Yea i'll never be able to understand you're stuff about the rocks that move.

So buy it...there's 53 banks over there go get a loan. You know you want to......

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:46 AM

im already approved, i have been drooling over this car for awhile, the paper work is sitting on the table at home, my monthly payment would be about 153 a month plus insurance thats about the same lol, well if i keep the jeep its a total of 150 a month for the buell, the jeep and the wrx, if i sell the jeep it drops to like 100 a month for the wrx and buell, damn thats some good toys right there, a 370hp awd car and a brand new 1125R

one day ill grow up, just not today and tomorrow is not looking good either

psychochild28 03-11-2010 02:53 AM

Wait you're already approved and haven't gotten it yet?? :wtfru:

Not too shabby I don't deal with monthly payments for insurance I pay yearly but my car and bike would only be maybe 75 total for both a month. And that's full coverage on both and some extra stuff for the bike.

That stuff no one will every grow up from. I'm looking at a dirt bike that a buddy from tour is selling. And maybe a jet ski cause I already have a place to keep it that I don't have to pay for as long as I let the ppl use it when I'm not around.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 02:57 AM

i have been approved for about a month but have been himming and hawwing about it for awhile now, but one ride and damn it had me sold

i just want to prolong getting it so i can save up some jack for the artic circle trip, taking off work for 26 days to play advrider and living off a bike is going to set me back about 2k and while i half of it saved up, its still something that is looming over my head like a bad hangover

but a chance to ride 14k miles with gramps and doug to the artic circle is a once in a life time trip, even if i am half regretting saying yes lol

psychochild28 03-11-2010 03:01 AM

yea that's a lotta money. I dropped almost a grand this week in mc gear and regular clothing just trying not to look at the account even though i knew i had to spend it it still sucks and feels like a lot more money that it could have been.

Sounds like you're starting to grow up to me you didn't just get the car on whim.... you're thinking about it and such.

dReWpY 03-11-2010 03:02 AM

shush, dont let the secret out, i only play grown up on tv

dReWpY 03-11-2010 03:10 AM

im out, peace

Don't regret it it's a kick ass chance. Plus you know you'll have crazy stories when you get back you're gramps and dad are nuts (in a good way)

Is that the end of june by chance? Only reason I'm asking is a guy from tour is doing a ride starting in FL and heading that way I think. Was just wondering if you guys were going by yourselves or with a group.

Peace out

marko138 03-11-2010 09:01 AM

Man, we've had 5 straight days of awesome weather. Almost 60* every day. Same today, but then rain for the next several. Sucks....but the temps are above 50*!!!

Cutty72 03-11-2010 11:35 AM

It was nice here today too. Snow is melting away, should be gone in another day like this!

It has been gone and come back at least 8 times while I have been here, and twice while I was gone!

At home, the are in "pre flood" stage. Getting sandbags ready cause they know it's going to happen.

gf says our yard is starting to get wet. There is a small lake beginning to form in the corner of my dog kennel. Guess it's a good thing she is staying with my friends while the gf goes to Havasu!

We are expecting 4" of rain in the next 72 hours.

Cutty72 03-11-2010 01:04 PM

I'm glad that I don't have to deal with the flooding issue this year at home. I hope that my place doesn't have any probs so the gf doesn't either.

marko138 03-11-2010 01:28 PM

I'm expecting a wet basement....usually happens when we get a ton of rain in a short period.

Absolutely. Actually, if they made it into the city I'd meet them. I'm doing training from 10a-6pm every day Thurs-Saturday. So my evening are free.

Cutty72 03-14-2010 04:58 PM

So thinkin about a new lid this year, as I've had mine for 4 years now.

Anyone got an opinion on a good helmet?
Shoei RF-1100
Arai Profile
Scorpion EXO 400/700
Shark (which model fits a long oval head)?

azoomm 03-14-2010 05:17 PM

Suomy or my new favorite.... NEXX

Never heard of NEXX, have to do some research on them.

How do those two fit compared to Shoei?

Sadly, you can't buy anything local (back home) besides HJC and Icon. :td:

tommymac 03-14-2010 07:29 PM

I love the shoei rf 1000. Not a big fan of the sharks though

Thought you bought the jardine?

and you never did reply about the whole stock pipe thing.

dReWpY 03-15-2010 04:10 PM

I opted out of the jardine, perfered the barkers and didn't want to pony the cash up till after the trip on a pipe

I've had the Arai Profile(awesome helmet) and Shark RSR2(Amazingly light and really thick visor)

the Arai was made for a long oval head... shark... not so much... it was a tight fit and was hard to get used to at first, but in the end I didn't mind... I loved how "snug" it felt... it just felt more secure... until I wore my Arai one last time before I sold the RR... the Profile just fit my head properly and was MUCH better at venting (even with that big air scoop up top on the Shark) also with the Shark I couldn't wear headphones as easy as the Arai as it didn't have as deep an impression by the ears...

final thoughts...

Arai= awesome street helmet (get a fog city insert that will change with the light and keep the visor from fogging)

Shart= race bread helmet... really light, snug fit, but not for my head shape so takes getting used to... but never as comfortable as the Arai. (but I got it for $250 on clearance so...)

the best?

Shoei Hornet... :D

Cutty72 03-15-2010 04:30 PM

How tough was the shield change on the Arai, and what size did you wear Ebbs?
IIRC your helmet fit me rather well...

I don't think the Hornet will be very conducive to my type of riding

Does Arai fit you? I've tried on the top level Arai and it fit similar to Suomy (for me atleast, YMMV).

I've been doin that lately... it's nice to get to work around 6 or 630, finish around 230 or 3, hit the gym when no one is there yet, and still have a lot of daylight left to hit the outdoor shooting range or go for a rip on the bike. Once I've adjusted to the schedule that way it's pretty nice, and it's only going to get better as the days get longer and spring/summer sets in.

I hear ya, bro. I'm gonna try getting up at 630 starting Monday to run with the dog. But, I can't get out of work any earlier. I need to hit the range this week too.

Speaking of...how's that Super Tuck of yours. Is it comfortable? I'm not a big fan of my Galco IWB. I keep reading so much good stuff about the ST on my XD forum.

I tried Ebb's Arai Profile when he visited. It fit pretty well, just have to get what size it was cause I don't remember.
