Slave New World is the Sepultura remake so it's a little heavier than the first.

The first song is a little different and has a different sound than the last CD since they don't play the 7 strings anymore.

Rider 02-23-2010 11:50 AM

Not nearly as good as the original but still good.

Damn, whats this from? Great song. Love the original...Jake E. Lee is a severely underrated and not-well-known guitar player.

It's a bonus track on Retribution. Yeah Jake E Lee is very good.

I'm not sure exactly. I've heard a few different things. Bad back, wanted to spend more time with family, creative differences. ....etc.

This new guy was Travis's drum tech so I think he uses the same set up.

No doubt. I didn't think the old guy was a great drummer, solid, but not great. This guy seems slightly better to me.

Oh absolutely. I was listening to the RR Trib album recently. At 20 somthing years old that guy was unfuckingbelievable. And Oz has said he thought, had Randy lived, he woulda left the band do to more avant garde jazzy type stuff. I just wonder how insane of a player he would be 20 years later.

Ozzy has a knack for finding great guitarists. Zakk was 19 when Ozzy found him. Now there is a new guy playing for Ozzy, Gus G of Firewind. The guy is damn good. He's a little older than 20 but still very very good.

I should look him up. Not familiar with him. Randy, Zakk, Jake E Lee...all of them great. But thats what makes Ozzy good. It's not Oz. It's the fantastic musicians he's surrounded himself with from the beginning. Tony, Geezer, etc.

He's like a billion years old. Check out the set opening, Bark At The Moon, sounds even worse. He loosened up as the show went on. Paranoid was the closer.

I like this guy, but I like Zakk's flashy style better. And Gus did the Paranoid solo almost note for note like Tony did it. I like to hear each players own interpretation like Randy and Zakk had.
