Man that's nice. Off to see if they make it in 9mm.

Been thinking about a PMR30 as a plinker handgun...

Anyone with any experience...

30 rounds of 22 mag sounds like a lot of fun.

I just fondled one the other day. They feel cheap and thinness feels more like holding a Hershey bar than a pistol grip. Suppose one could get used to it.

First of all, good luck finding one! They originally were $299 but, everybody bought them up and the cheapest I saw them anywhere was around $600 on gunbrokers and this was months before all the crap happened! I've been on Bud's email list for about 6 months or more waiting for one!
Second, if you do happen to buy one, make sure to get a second-gen. The second-gens have a standard barrel and the first-gens have a fluted barrel. The fluted barrels were keyholing with certain ammo. The standard barrels don't seem to have that problem.
I would have bought one myself instead of my Taurus PT845 but, I'm not paying that much for that gun! There are some good videos on youtube of them. Most seem to be positive.

I used a buddies for a day while he tried out my 5n7. Like most things KelTec it is a wonderful concept that somehow just misses the mark. First it ran flawlessly so it can't be faulted there and it printed pretty good groups. Unfortunately the groups were no where near where the sight picture indicated they should be at 25 yards it was a full foot to the right with no means of further correction. I mentioned this when we swapped back and he said he had been trying to contact KelTec to replace the sight. If you can find one that the sights are near where you want them it could be a lot of fun. If I could find one at retail I would take with the idea of mounting a FastFire or micro sight of some kind. Unfortunately the only place I see them is on GunJoker with prices that are INSANE.

That's disappointing. I could probably get one for the standard price, might take a bit to get it, but it doesn't sound like it's worth it.

I've owned several Kel-Tec's

Initially it was the draw that the 9mm would use the same hi cap mag as a S&W. The goal was for it to be a backup weapon for police officers issued a 9mm S&W.

The problem was they were always sub-par in their MFG. Every one they made needed a little tweaking to work right. They dubbed it the Kel-Tec "fluff and buff"

You polish the ramp and a few key parts and you won't get a jam.

This carried on to later 380, 32, and other 9mm's

I polished my PF-9 and I know it really likes +p ammo. And with that, I never have a jam. But I'm limited to ammo I can reliably use in it.

The 22 seems to have the same "quirks" and it has equally as many fans as it does haters.

I'd LOVE if they made a 22 long version just for a hi-cap suppressed option

There was a release from Kel-Tec they were planning on making a .22lr version but, I'll be surprised if they do. The .22mags are long enough to stack more stable but, .22lr's will curve a lot at anything above 12 rounds. If they could come up with a double-stack of 24 rounds or even 20 rounds, that would be nice. Large calibers are great fun but, unless you're made of money, you've always got that register running in the back of your head keeping a running total of what it just cost you to make it go bang that many times! With .22, you can shoot all day for cheap. Well.....you used to be able to. Now you can't find the stuff!
